2026 JCEA Summer Workshop: The Triple Helix, Socio-Technical Convergence, and New Asian Studies
This workshop explores the future of Asia through the convergence of Triple Helix collaboration — centred on universities, industry and government — with digital technology, networked societies and sociocultural change.
It approaches innovation not merely as a matter of science, technology or industrial development, but as a process through which universities, research institutions, industry, government and civil society jointly build a sustainable and resilient future. Through this, the workshop seeks to expand the research on Asian politics, society and economics accumulated by JCEA into the realms of socio-technical convergence, data and network societies, and future studies, while exploring a new academic agenda that connects the research capabilities of WATEF and the Cyber Emotions Research Center at Yeungnam University.
