Submission Guidelines

How to Submit

All submissions must be made through the online editorial system at ACOMS+. For technical issues with the system, contact acomsplus@kisti.re.kr; for questions about the submission process, contact j.c.eastern.asia@gmail.com.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

USD 100 (KRW 150,000) for all authors, payable upon acceptance.
For funded research, an additional fee of USD 200 (KRW 300,000) applies, bringing the total to USD 300 (KRW 400,000).
JCEA Associate Editors and invited scholars are exempt for up to one unfunded publication per year.

Manuscript Types and Word Limits

Full-length research papers: maximum 8,000 words, including abstract and bibliography
Short research / rapid communications: 2,000–3,000 words, focusing on preliminary results and novel ideas
Book reviews: maximum 5,000 words
Editor's notes: three to ten pages

Format Requirements

Submissions must be in Microsoft Word or RTF format and must follow the manuscript template for in-text citations, reference lists, headings, and other formatting. Non-compliant manuscripts are automatically rejected.

Pre-submission Checklist

Correct file format and adherence to word limits
Template compliance for citations and formatting
Copyright compliance, with proper citations for any previously published material
A cover letter with the names and contact information of all authors, a research summary, an originality statement, and the names of three experts in your area with affiliations and rationale for recommendation
A plagiarism check report from Grammarly, Turnitin, or another international plagiarism checker

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication. Work is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-No Derivative Works License. Authors may post their work to institutional repositories with proper attribution to its initial publication in JCEA.

Ethics and Timeline

The journal adheres to Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. The peer-review process typically takes approximately two months.
